Lyte Raises $165 Million Series C Led by Maverick Silicon to Give Robots a Trustworthy View of the World The round values Lyte at $1.6 billion post-money as the company enters production deployments; Andrew Homan of Maverick Silicon joins the board. Lyte, the physical AI perception company, today announced a $165 million Series C financing led by Maverick Silicon. The round values Lyte at $1.6 billion post-money.

Lyte designs custom silicon, multimodal sensors, and spatial software that robots use to sense where they are and what is moving around them, a stack the company developed and owns from the transistor up.
Since emerging from stealth in January 2026, Lyte has entered production and is shipping to leading robotics customers across the inspection, logistics, and manufacturing industries. LyteVisionTM, the company’s perception platform, was named CES 2026 Best of Innovation in Robotics. Lyte was founded by former Apple and PrimeSense engineers whose work helped bring 3D perception to the mainstream through Microsoft Kinect and later became foundational to Face ID, reaching more than a billion people worldwide.
“Physical AI has a sensing problem before it has a model problem. A robot cannot act safely on data that does not faithfully describe the world. We build the entire perception foundation, from custom silicon to the spatial data our systems produce.
This financing will put LyteVisionTM into more robots, across more environments, faster,” said Alexander Shpunt, CEO and co-founder of Lyte. Most robotics platforms assemble perception from off-the-shelf components never designed to work as one system, and pay for it in latency, calibration drift, and data that is difficult to trust. LyteVisionTM fuses 4D coherent vision, high-resolution imaging, and inertial sensing onto a single synchronized timeline.
Built on Lyte’s own silicon, it measures position and motion natively rather than reconstructing them in software, producing data that robots can act on with confidence. “Lyte is building a foundational sensing platform that enables a wide range of robots to perceive and understand the world around them. The breadth and diversity of early customer demand strengthen our conviction that Lyte is poised to become one of the defining technology companies of the robotics era,” said Andrew Homan, Managing Partner at Maverick Silicon, who has joined Lyte’s board of directors.
“Owning the silicon separates companies that define a category from those that participate in one. Lyte controls every layer of how a robot understands the world and is now taking that breakthrough engineering into production,” said Avigdor Willenz, Lyte’s chairman. Use of Capital Lyte will use the financing to scale production of its sensing silicon and LyteVisionTM platform, advance its AI and perception capabilities, and expand deployments with robotics companies and industrial customers.
The company expects to grow its team substantially over the coming year, hiring across silicon, software, optics, manufacturing, operations, and go-to-market, including senior leadership roles. Open positions are listed at lyte.ai/careers. The round included Fidelity Management & Research Company, which led Lyte’s Series B, along with Atreides Management, Key1 Capital, Ora Global (formerly Exor Ventures), and additional existing and new investors.
Total capital raised since the company’s founding in 2021 now stands at $272 million. About Lyte Lyte builds the perception foundation of physical AI. Founded in 2021, the company designs custom silicon, multimodal sensors, and spatial software that give robots and autonomous systems a trustworthy, real-time view of the physical world.
